Thinking of the AMEX Platinum Card?
The current welcome bonus via referral is a fantastic 75,000 Membership Rewards points (after meeting the spend requirement)! This is often a much better deal than applying directly.
If the Platinum Card is the right fit for your travel style, I’d be incredibly grateful if you considered using my personal referral link below. It helps support this guide, allowing me to keep it updated for everyone!
Thank you so much for your support! 🥺
Card cycling:
1. Sign up the platinum card during high bonus period (Highest: 75,000)
2. Cancel after 12 months
3. Sign up to the free Amex payback card to not lose your MRPs
3a. OR Sign up to the Gold card to not lose your MRPs and lock in the sign-up bonus for the Gold
4. (Cancel the gold card) Sign up to the platinum card again after 18 months break for a fresh sign-up bonus*
*If you have a partner that you can share your card with, you can alternate sign-ups to entirely avoid this forced break period of 18 months per card-type. You essentially can have 4 cards (2 Platinums + 2 Golds) by keeping one in rotation every 12 months.
